OUR STORE WILL REOPEN THE FIRST WEEK IN DECEMBER... EXACT DATE TO FOLLOW.
WELL... it took a crazy year like this to come to our senses! My dad passed away March 3 at the tender age of 91 and left a very big project for me complete. He collected minerals since the 1950-1960's and beyond in locations that have since become extinct! It took me much more time than I ever imagined to sort, and catalog everything for a vast auction of his minerals. The auction took place the second weekend in October with dealers and museums represented from all over the USA and Canada. I am sooo glad its behind me. My family and some mineral enthusiast helped in the endeavor. After working for months on end to sort and catalog this collection, my love of the gemstones and minerals I grew up collecting was re-ignited. That being said, we will be reopening in the first weekend in December with a HUGE SALE ON THE GIFT ITEMS WE WILL NO LONGER BE SELLING to bring in a more focused MINERAL - JEWELRY THEME. We will still offer the fun wooden hats and a few other items but our main focus will be shifting to a super cool mineral collection. These specimens will be an amazing addition to anyones decor. Come and see for yourself what an awesome time it will be to learn about the minerals of Lancaster County and beyond.
WE ARE ALSO THE PROUD OWNERS OF A VERY SPECIAL QUARTZ CRYSTAL, THAT WAS IN MY DADS COLLECTION, FROM LANCASTER COUNTY THAT IS JUST UNDER 50 POUNDS, HIS NICKNAME IS "GOLIATH". LANCASTER COUNTY HAS MANY SMALL QUARTZ CRYSTALS BUT THIS ONE WAS THE LARGEST CLEANEST ONE EVER FOUND AS NOTED BY THE USGS OF PENNSYVANIA.
OUR SHOWS HAVE BEEN AWESOME THIS YEAR BUT WE ARE READY TO SLOW DOWN AND SETTLE INTO THE STORE ONCE MORE. We love meeting all of you who have traveled from near and far to see us at the shows and store. We plan to keep about 10 shows in 2025 and will post the show schedule soon. We have had many opportunities to expand our small business but going big is not our desire. We wish to offer a quality handcrafted item at an affordable price that gives our customer a great value. We now have our jewelry in many countries throughout of world but recognize that there are only 24 hours in a day, and we need to be mindful of the amount of products we can produce in that time period.
